Music under the Mountains: Trip to Le Bono, Brittany

The members of ARC will be heading to the Breton town of Le Bono on the 4th. July to introduce their fiery brand of traditional music to the locals. Most of the expenses for the week long trip have already been recouped by the band themselves through various gigs over the past month.

Music under the Mountains

Music Under the Mountains is a festival of traditional music and song of the highest calibre established in 1991 as a showcase for the best in traditional performers in Ireland and abroad. The festival seeks to support The Laura Greaves Music Bursary for Hollywood National School. The Bursary enables children from Hollywood and surrounding areas to receive traditional music tuition. The fund was established in 1996 in memory of Laura, who was a founding member of Music Under the Mountains. To date, in excess of 200 children have been exposed to the joys and the hard work of learning an instrument or delivering a song.
